JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including incoming and outgoing materials, using inventory management systems or manual tracking methods.
– Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages and ensure timely availability of materials for construction projects.
– Receive incoming shipments of materials, verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
– Coordinate with procurement and quality control teams to address any issues with received materials and ensure they meet specifications.
– Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storeroom, ensuring efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
– Implement proper storage practices to protect materials from damage, deterioration, or theft.
– Fulfill requests for materials from project managers, construction teams, or other departments, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and issuance of items.
– Coordinate with logistics personnel to arrange transportation and delivery of materials to project sites as needed.
– Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
– Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and consumption rates, providing regular updates to management and project teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification or training in inventory management or related field is a plus.
– Previous experience (1-2 years) in a storekeeping or warehouse role, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
– Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications for record-keeping and reporting.
– Familiarity with material handling equipment and warehouse operations best practices.
– Strong organizational abilities to maintain accurate records, track inventory levels, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory counts and reconciliations.
– Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with coworkers, suppliers, and vendors.
– Ability to communicate inventory needs and issues to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
– Ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory management, such as discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions to address operational challenges.
– Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with shifting project demands.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
