Key responsibilities
The Payment Settlement Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily settlement operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payment settlements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and customer service.
- Oversee the daily settlement processes, including the reconciliation of transactions and handling discrepancies.
- Ensure all payment settlements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Investigate and resolve settlement issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve settlement processes and resolve any operational issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on settlement activities and performance metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting payment settlements.
- Provide support and training to junior staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payment settlements, finance, or a related area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the payment service industry and related regulatory requirements is a plus.
