Summary :
The Student Well-being Coordinator (SWC) is a passionate and dedicated professional who implements and manages various aspects of student life at the ZYIS campus level. This role ensures the well-being, engagement, and leadership development of students, while upholding ZYIS's core values and educational philosophy. The SWC works closely with the Campus Principal, colleagues, and parents to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The SWC also emphasizes fostering leadership skills, diversity, and intercultural understanding, aligning with ZYIS’s vision to nurture responsible and innovative global citizens.

Duties
- Parent Engagement:
- Builds strong relationships with parents and guardians, communicating effectively about school events, policies, and their child's academic and social progress.
- Organizes and facilitates parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and other events to foster collaboration and engagement in student learning.
- Supports the Campus Principal in implementing school-wide parent engagement initiatives.
- Student Support Services:
- Provides direct support to students in navigating academic challenges, social-emotional issues, and personal concerns, referring them to appropriate resources and services.
- Assists with the coordination and implementation of counseling services, academic advice, mentoring programs, and other support resources on campus.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Student Activities and Engagement:
- Plans, organizes, and supervises a diverse range of extracurricular activities, clubs, and events on campus, fostering student participation, leadership, and a sense of community.
- Promotes intercultural understanding and global awareness through student-led initiatives, cultural events, and opportunities for community engagement.
- Collaborates with the HSW and other campus staff to align extracurricular activities.
- Health and Wellness Services:
- Implements and promotes health and wellness initiatives on campus, including health education programs, physical activity opportunities, and mental health resources.
- Collaborates with the school nurse and other health professionals to ensure the health and safety of students.
- Provides basic first aid and emergency response as needed.
- Judicial Affairs:
- Implements ZYIS's code of conduct and disciplinary procedures consistently and fairly, ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Investigates student misconduct, documents incidents, and works with students, parents, and faculty to address behavioral concerns.
- Applies restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies to promote positive behavior and a culture of respect.
- General Support:
- Provide operational support, assist with special projects, and undertake tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Qualifications and Skills
- Education:
- At least Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Experience in student affairs, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient in time management and organization.
- Ability to develop and implement effective programs and initiatives.
- Fluency in Khmer and English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Working knowledge of child development and adolescent psychology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data privacy regulations.
- Strong HR, business development and professional skill.
