Job Presentation

Ponleu Ney Kdey Sangkhum (PNKS) is a Cambodian Christian NGO localized from CORD UK, with offices in Phnom Penh, Chey Saen/Preah Vihear, and Stung Treng. Our projects focus on integrated community development, promoting community-led initiatives and development. We are currently seeking qualified Cambodians to fill the following positions:

Project overview: PNKS has launched the Together Build Community Dignity (TBCD) project, a three-year initiative aimed at promoting locally led development and resilient livelihoods in a remote area of Stung Treng. This project focuses on building local capacity to enhance sustainable, community-driven development and livelihood resilience.

The primary responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to manage the completion of the current project phase, coordinate the end-of-phase evaluation, and support the co-design of the next project phase.

Duties

  • Project Management
  • Oversee the final year of the project, ensuring all activities are implemented according to the project work plan, timeline, and budget.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including local community members, partners, and staff.
  • Monitor project progress through regular reporting and documentation of lessons learned, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, including ANCP.
  • Utilize project M&E tools to monitor progress, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports to Program Development Manager (PDM) and donor.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Manage field staff, conduct performance appraisals, and resolve any operational issues that arise.
  • Coordination of Project Evaluation
  • Work closely with external evaluators and relevant stakeholders to organize and facilitate the end-of-phase project evaluation.
  • Work closely with evaluators to gather data, conduct interviews, and facilitate focus groups with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with evaluators to design evaluation methodologies that are participatory and inclusive.
  • Gather and provide necessary project documentation, data, and reports to evaluators.
  • Ensure active participation of community members and partners in the evaluation process.
  • Incorporate evaluation findings into the final project report.
  • Ensure that the evaluation effectively captures lessons learned and best practices from the project.
  • Coordination of Co-design for the Next Phase
  • Organize and facilitate co-design workshops with stakeholders, including community representatives, local authorities, and partner organizations.
  • Ensure that the voices of local communities are prioritized in the design process.
  • Gather insights, feedback, and ideas for the next phase of the project based on lessons learned from Phase 1.
  • Document co-design outcomes and integrate feedback into planning for future initiatives.
  • Coordinate the drafting of a detailed project proposal for Phase 2, in alignment with organizational strategy, donor priorities and evaluation recommendations.

Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, particularly in rural development or livelihoods projects.
  • Proven experience in coordinating evaluations, with strong knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and practices.
  • Experience managing community-based projects.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting and proposal development.
  • Expertise in participatory methods and locally-led development approaches.
  • Practical experience with M&E tools and processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently in remote areas.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and culturally sensitive personality with the ability to work in diverse environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
