Job responsibilities:
1. Managing the Procurement & Logistic Department on the process of sourcing, procuring and timely delivery of all purchases under his/her portfolio.
2. To execute the procurement process according to the Procurement Handbook. Be ethical & uphold integrity in the execution of Procurement policies.
3. Fine tune & improve on the Procurement Process to ensure optimization of costs. Evaluate & recommends the best sourcing strategies for high values purchases.
4. Lead the negotiation, placement & administration of major equipment purchases and service contracts
with vendors.
5. Prepare commercial tender documents and specifications, negotiate for advantageous terms, reviewing existing contracts to ensure on-going feasibility; and performing risk assessments on potential contracts & agreements for parts & services.
6. Review, issue Purchase Order, contracts & long term service agreement Review & manage relationship with vendors for strategic negotiation.
7. Contribute to approved supplier validation activities including occasional travel to review suppliers’ facilities (if require).
8. Monitor and improve on the current customs clearance/logistics arrangement for costs savings and on time delivery.
9. Develop and manage a standard reporting format to ensure senior management can be updated on timely basis
