Damnok Toek ("Drop of water" in English) is a Cambodian organisation working with vulnerable children, young adults and their families. Damnok Toek runs projects in Poi Pet, Neak Loeung and Kep in the fields of Child Protection, Safe Migration and Disability.
Location: Based in Phnom Penh, with occasional travel to Damnok Teok’s project sites.
Salary : Monthly stipend of USD 150; any travel expenses will be covered by Damnok Toek.
Contract type: 6 months volunteer contract, with possibility for extension.
Working hours : Monday to Friday; approx. 20 hours/week (flexible schedule)

JOB PURPOSE:
Damnok Toek is seeking a Cambodian part-time Communications Intern to be part of the fundraising team for a minimum duration of 6 months based in Phnom Penh. The Intern will work closely with the Head of Finance and Fundraising and Branch Directors to provide effective communications support in developing and executing communication strategies for Damnok Toek’s website, social media, campaign and outreach activities to enhance the organisation’s visibility and engage our audience.
Duties
- Assist in publishing engaging content creation for website and social media platforms.
- Regularly check the resources and update Damnok Toek’s website to ensure accessibility and engagement.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring posts.
- Assist in developing case-stories and designing Damnok Toek annual report 2024.
- Assist in taking photos in related project activities and events.
- Create visually appealing materials such as posters, flyers, banners and others, based on request.
- Support tracking and analysing media coverage and trends relevant to the organisation.
- Assist in organising online fundraising campaigns
- Support other communication-related tasks as needed and subjected to workload.
Requirements
- Be a current undergraduate student or fresh graduate in media and communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Knowledge of website, social media platforms, and analytic tools is required.
- Previous related experience or familiarity with graphic design, photography, website or social media management is a plus.
- Excellent Khmer and English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate: skilled with using Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva (or other graphic design platforms), video editing skills is a plus.
- Attention to details, organisational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Demonstrate a high commitment, proactive attitude and willingness to learn new things and work in a multicultural team.
