Teuk Saat 1001 is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner. 

Teuk Saat 1001 has been dedicated for more than 15 years in providing safe drinking water.

The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.  

Today, through a network of 900 entrepreneurs, operating 342 kiosks in Cambodia, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, we serve more than 1 million beneficiaries, including 376,000 schoolchildren,

who receive safe water for free in 1000 primary schools across 18 provinces

Teuk Saat 1001  as the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Myanmar.

We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

Location: Siem Reap / travel 90% of the time in SR, BMC and ODMC

Department: Operations

Directly report to: WQ & Technical supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Technician ensures the after service, by responding to technical or water quality issues and/or maintenance of the water station. Under the supervision of the WQ and Technical manager, he/she will be responsible to a network of 35 to 40 stations

Duties

• Mission 1 : Water quality
• Responding to water quality alerts promptly
• Ensuring flocculation/ coagulation process is performed perfectly at the station,
• Following up and adjusting sanitary practices of the water station,
• Controlling materials and equipment to ensure the quality of water: such as pre-treatment, treatment, piping…
• Coaching and training of the entrepreneurs on hygiene practices, maintenance of the unit treatment and operations
• Sampling water from laboratories testing
• Installing or upgrading treatment process of the station according to the manager
• Mission 2 : Technical
• Responding to technical alerts promptly such as : unit treatment, solar or grid, pumping, pre-treatment equipment
• Ensuring the water station guarantee the minimum standard to produce safe drinking water with high quality
• Maintaining frequently the equipment and materials at the station
• Installing or upgrading equipment of the station according to the manager
• Mission 3 : Others
• Supporting R&D activities according to manager
• Participating to monthly meeting with the team

Requirements

• More than 5 years’ experience in construction, electricity, plumbing field
• Experienced in water sector (drinking water, waste water, water supply) or solar system are a plus
• Minimum 30 years old
• Minimum Bachelor Degree or associated (vocational training or others)
• Frequent travel to the province (80% of the time)
• Interest to work with local communities
