Review of Lucky Lucky Motorcycles Shop

1.0
Lucky Moto has been fortunate to have been featured in popular magazines and travel books such as Lonely Planet. The scooters they rent out were cheap--$4, but you have to be careful as the Chinese lady who owns the shop is a crafty, underhanded snake!

When we first arrived at her shop, she wanted to charge us $5 for a scooter until she hear another customer telling us that it costs $4--not a big deal for us but you should have seen the disappointment and resentment in her eyes. We get some beat up bikes and within 2 hours, one of them gets a flat. We get it pumped up on a corner and return to the shop immediately. She tells us that it's our responsibility to get the bike repaired and that there's a repair shop "somewhere down that boulevard." We ask if we can switch out scooters and she says we'd have to pay for the flat and new rental! She wanted to charge $10. We didn't want to spend our entire vacation waiting and looking for a repair shop so we worked her down to $6. Everything seemed fine till the next day when we returned our bikes. She brought out the original bike with the flat and said that we burnt out some part--she had a torn up piece of rubber sitting on the desk and blamed it on us! These scooters run for years, thousands of miles and after a 2hr trek (most of which was spent parked in a massage parlor's parking lot) she tells us that we broke her bike! She expected us to pay $20 or else she would not return our PASSPORTS! At this point I'm pissed and realized we made it too easy for her by paying her the day before. She saw weakness and we were easy prey so why not make some money off of naive westerners.

A $4 cheap rental came out to cost us $30! Might as well have paid $10 for honest service elsewhere. BEWARE, the lady seems all nice till she strikes--she was yelling and threatening to keep our passports. Wicked lady shame on you!
