JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Teacher to join our SOS Children’s Village in Family Strenthening Programme. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong technical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex computer concepts to students. The teacher will design lesson plans, deliver lectures, and inspire students to excel in computer-related fields.
Duties
- DATA CONFIDENTIALITY
- Develop and deliver computer science curricula tailored to different grade levels or skill levels.
- Teach a variety of computer-related topics, such as word, Excell, Power Points, web development, networking, and office software.
- Plan and conduct practical sessions to enhance hands-on learning.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Provide guidance on career opportunities in IT and related fields.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages
- Knowledge of web development, database management, and networking
- Familiarity with office software like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience:
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Fresh graduates with exceptional skills and a passion for teaching are welcome.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
