We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

OFFICE/BRANCH : Academic/ Forest Hill International School

REPORTS TO : Coordinator

SUPERVISES : Teacher Assistants

POSITION SUMMARY

The Academic Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily class operation, communication with parents, incident and accident reports.

Duties

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Creates and monitor the attendance;
  • Calls to parents for student lateness and absent and school events;
  • Informs to parents about student’s incident and accident;
  • Monitors student’s safety and hygiene;
  • Does weekly and monthly report to School Principal;
  • Inducts new teacher assistants into the School Programme Process;
  • Works closely with the Leadership Team and teachers to ensure continuous improvement of the program quality;
  • Collaborates with Marketing and other departments to promote the school's learning programs;
  • Manages class schedule and attendance, including creating new and editing, assigned by Programme Coordinator;
  • Works closely with the Front Desk for parent complaint, advice and suggestions;
  • Assists in implementing student orientation and registration activities;
  • Acts to upgrade own professional knowledge and skills;
  • Assists to define and disseminate information about school disciplinary policies and procedures to parents, students and academic staff;
  • Assists in supervising and maintaining auxiliary services and use community resources to supplement the school program;
  • Promotes and maintains open communications, positive student attitudes, respects dignity, worth of academic staff and students;
  • Assists in completion of records and weekly reports and in the supervision and inventory of necessary supplies, textbooks, equipment and materials of Early Year Program;
  • Acts to upgrade own professional knowledge and skills;
  • May do other tasks assigned by School Principal;
  • HIGHEST PRIORITY
  • Respects and abides by Forest Hill International School vision, mission, goals and all policies, guideline, and quality management systems;
  • Coordinates daily academic operations within the school;
  • Follows and improves issues for the students and teachers;
  • Coordinates and suggests recommendations for school;
  • Provides communication networks to WEG & operations groups;
  • Handles hospitality work for Forest Hill and WEG;
  • DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITIES
  • Acts as one of the leaders of the school to implement an effective internal operation;
  • Coordinates in preparing tasks to all staff under his/her supervision;
  • Makes sure to provide an effective school environment to people;
  • Orders & follows materials based on actual demand & budget approved and concurred from School Principal;
  • Considers over operating activities, based on the budget approved;
  • Considers overall Academic operating work with Early Years Program Manager;

Requirements

  • Education Background
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education and Management;
  • Work Experience
  • Minimum of two-year experience in teaching;
  • Minimum of one-year experience in Academic Administration preferred;
  • Computer knowledge (Ms. Office, internet & email, & Ms. Project);
  • Language
  • Good English Proficiency;
  • Technical Competencies and Skills
  • High level of diplomacy & confidentiality required;
  • Good knowledge of school curriculum and education environment;
  • Need to stay focused and organized with all admin issues and team;
  • Leadership and Communication Skills/Personality Qualities
  • Strong organizational, communication, report writing, decision-making, conflict solving, & facilitating skills, & good interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, trustworthily, & collaboratively;
  • Being able to quickly solve the issue is required;
