The School Operations Officer (SOO) is the operations leader for a school, managing all non-instructional functions, services, and staff so that the instructional team can maintain a concentrated focus on teaching and student achievement and maximize instructional time. This role is to ensures the school is managed with operational excellence and fiscal prudence by creating, refining, and implementing policies and systems while upholding the values. This role works closely with School Operations Coordinator to develop a school-wide culture of respect and achievement and a team culture grounded in common goals, mutual respect, empathy towards others, and an appreciation of diversity. The SOO is a next-generation educator who is a critical thinker and innovative problem solver with a high level of emotional intelligence.
Report to: School Operations Coordinator
Manage: Teachers, Janitorial staff
Key liaison: Education Management Team(EMT), Facility Management Team
Duties
- Implement adequate transportation, safety, school events, procurement, and compliance systems.
- Ensure all non-teaching operations run smoothly.
- Keep accurate student records in the database.
- Monitor and address daily attendance issues following Kid Case Management (KCM) policy.
- Complete and submit compliance reports to the School Operation Coordinator, School Manager, and EMT.
- Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of staff and students.
- Oversee teaching staff to ensure quality education and proper school maintenance.
- Manage school inventory, stock control and support facility-related initiatives.
- Facilitate procurement processes such as vendor selection, purchasing, and payment.
- Develop and manage the school’s budget to meet financial goals.
- Maintain updated employee files and required HR paperwork.
- Regularly discuss goals, progress, challenges, and action plans with school leadership.
- Foster a supportive and respectful school culture focused on academic success, fairness, and high behavioral standards.
- Develop team members to excel in their roles.
- Communicate respectfully with parents/guardians, considering different cultures, values, and needs.
- Reflect on personal performance, seek growth opportunities, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work;
- Bachelor degree of education, business administration or other related
- At least 2 years’ experience working in educational organizations;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; internet and email;
- Good command of English and Khmer languages;
- Operations and facilities management experience;
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and to prioritize work on multiple projects;
- Good organizational, planning, and implementation skills;
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies including parents, staff and students;
- Be honest, trustworthy, team-player attitude and strong customer-service orientation;
- Problem-solving ability of counseling, highly detail and results-oriented;
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and tenacity;
- High compassion and commitment to work with our community and children from a difficult background.
- Working Days/Hours: 07:30am-12:00pm and 01:30pm-05:00pm from Monday to Saturday(full-time)
