Job Summary

Principal responsible for directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counselling activities of primary, secondary or high school: Develops and evaluates educational program to ensure conformance to government and school board standards. Develops and coordinates educational programs through meetings with staff, review of teachers’ activities, and issuance of directives. Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioural problems in school. Establishes and maintains relationships with colleges, community organizations, and other schools to coordinate educational services. Requisitions and allocates supplies, equipment, and instructional material as needed. Directs preparation of class schedules, cumulative records, and attendance reports. Observes and evaluates teacher performance. Interviews and hires teachers. Walks about school building and property to monitor safety and security. Plans and monitors school budget, plan and direct building maintenance, develop and administer educational programs for students with mental or physical handicaps, be required to have certification from government

Duties

  • Plan, organize and coordinate the school program and/or administrative activities of a large scale in the HGS, supervise the work of subordinates engaged in sectional operations such as pedagogical group, curriculum development, centralize records keeping, purchasing, accounting and fiscal control and claim, advises subordinate staff and make decisions on difficult casework and administrative problems; participate in interviewing, selection, assignment, training of professional and key staff personnel.
  • Participate with top management and executive staff in developing, revising, and implementing HG school in accordance with SOS policy and strategy and governmental la, and regulation
  • Direct and/or participate in the development and preparation of sectional budget and compile supporting statistical and fiscal data; supervise and review the preparation of a variant of financial and statistical reports such as administrative reimbursement claims to the national office.
  • Receive communities input and reviews, evaluate, modifies and propose program to meet communities needs, serves as interface between communities, parents, individual, and other official bodies with SOS national office; participate in communities organization meeting and speaking for public and private on the purpose of HG school, develop and maintain effective relation with PDoE and communities, parents.
  • Conduct program evaluation to determine whether program are being administered properly and efficiently; meet with teaching staff to discuss and resolve any grievance problems, and participate in negotiations with employee groups; analyze and interpret for subordinate supervisory staff and legislative or legal change from MoE, and PDoE which affect fiscal operation of HG school project.
  • Develop and implement general internal policies, perform special assignment from ND related to the FSP as and when desired.

Requirements

  • Qualification & Experience:
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy, social work, business administration
  • Significant experiences in administration
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Khmer language
  • Three years of broad and progressively responsible school administration, management
  • experiences, including significant supervisory experiences
  • Demonstrated high level of ethical commitments and trustworthiness.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and perform basic mathematical calculation.
  • High sense of Child Safeguarding, look for solutions and focus on desired results
