GIZ is a federally owned enterprise supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in international cooperation for sustainable development.
With the commission and initiative from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the “Transformation of Agriculture and Food Systems – For a Life Free of Hunger” Special Initiative aims to significantly contribute to reducing poverty and hunger. In doing so, particular emphasis is placed on food and nutrition security for women of reproductive age and young children.
The Global Program “Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience” is being implemented in 11 African and Asian countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Togo, Yemen and Zambia. Activities build on existing projects of German development cooperation in various sectors.
The” Multisectoral Food and Nutrition Security Project in Cambodia (MUSEFO) project” is part of the Global Programme “Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience” under the “Transformation of Agriculture and Food Systems – For a Life Free of Hunger” Special Initiative.
The project was implemented in the provinces of Kampong Thom and Kampot between 03/2015 and 03/2023 and, for the coming two years, target upscaling and national level activities until 03/2026.
The overall objective of MUSEFO is to improve the food and nutrition situation of people vulnerable to food insecurity, particularly women of reproductive age (15-49) and young children (6-23 months), which has improved.
MUSEFO is looking for one national intern to support the project.
The intern will support implementing MUSEFO projects for six months (01 Dec 2024 until 31 May 2025).
The successful candidates will work with the team in Phnom Penh. The position may also give opportunities to travel to the province.
Duties
- Supporting arrangements of an upcoming events.
- Screening existing MUSEFOs photo and video databases for multipurpose communication use.
- Prepare new video clips (e.g. based on the existing materials), posts, etc. To post on social media.
- Create posts for social media accounts.
- Update and manage the social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Writing articles for GIZ internal communication channels, like IDA and GIZ country pages.
- Support other any communications tasks.
- Other tasks as requested by superiors.
Requirements
- Undergraduate/graduate (BSc) or higher in IT (Digitalization) PR, Communication, journalism or related field.
- Strong interest in digitalisation & new Media (social media).
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficient computer use (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills, good team spirit and interest in networking.
- Interested in learning new skills.
