Job Presentation

Key responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updating of financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and school leadership.
  • Develop long-term financial forecasts and models for strategic planning.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide regular updates to the CFO and senior management.

Financial Analysis

  • C onduct financial analysis on operational efficiency, cost management, and revenue optimization.
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards for monitoring key financial indicators.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve financial outcomes.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities, and present insights to support decision-making.

Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard school assets and ensure
  • financial accuracy.
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure the audit process runs smoothly.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and reports.
  • Present financial data and analysis to the leadership team in a clear and concise
  • manner.
  • Provide financial training and guidance to non-finance staff when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or a similar role, preferably in an educational or non-profit environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
