BUYERS - BEWARE DO NOT BUY ELECTRONIC GOODS FROM BOON & CO.

On 2nd November 2016 I purchased 2 kettles at the main office (Tai Seng Industrial Estate). When I returned home to test the kettles, Kettle No. 1 had a faulty button. Kettle No. 2 was leaking. Immediately I telephoned Mr Tay (the owner of the Company), he told me over the phone to return the items and I would have a replacement set.

On 4th November 2016, I called Mr Tay at 12.30pm and informed him that I would be going to his office to get the replacement set.

Upon arrival, Mr Tay remarked sarcastically “ I sold so many sets, I have no problem”. When I showed him that the button could not be pressed and the other kettle was leaking from the base, Mr Tay then remarked angrily ” What you do with the kettle?. I cannot do anything, my staff is off today, you call again next Monday and ask for my staff Albert, leave the 2 kettles here and come back again another day”.

I was dumbfounded. Why did he ask me to return to the office at Tai Seng Industrial Estate when his staff Albert was “off”/on leave? Why waste my precious time! It took me 2 hour to arrive at his office (one way).

On 10th November 2016, I called the office after waiting for 3 working days, Mr Albert told me over the phone “ the connection is no good, you can come & get a new set”.

Immediately after the call, I had to make my way to the Industrial Estate , my third trip! to collect the new set.

I had to take leave to pick up the kettles.

Buyers - beware. If you are unlucky like me , buying electronic goods from the Company and upon delivery you have a faulty item…. your nightmare will begin.

The kettles are defective. The Boss is very unhelpful in resolving the problem. He put the blame on the customers and worse of all, the owner Mr Tay, has NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS and is a nasty person as well. After collecting your money, you are on your own…. Items defective or faulty, you will have a hard time trying to get it fixed…
